The Coolest Stuff from Other People

Since I can't show any of my current knitting, here are a few of my favorite things from Other People this week. First is photophilic Jen's version of my Neiman pattern, only with SPACE INVADERS. I can't get over it... the fact that only one arm is patterned, the intricacy of the little guys, the fact that it's made in the same colors as the original but makes a very different impression. WOW.

Two other favorite sweaters, both of which have patterns available now:

Oh, Grellow. I hope I find the time to make one of these for myself this fall.

Whoa. I actually got the yarn for this one. I wonder when I will find the time to knit it.

And something else: New Tattoos! Chad at Fat Ram's Pumpkin Tattoo is the artist. I got some color done this past weekend and it's really coming together... a first look:

Side and front view... one of those little yellow stars was my very first tattoo, gotten one day after I turned 18.

Side and back view... the tattoo on the far left is the name of the Sumerian goddess Inanna, goddess of love and war, gotten during my Assyriologist days. So far so good!

A grellow tattoo? Now that is the coolest thing I've ever seen!

The argyle is pretty awesome too! And the space invaders sweater? My 80's heart just skipped a beat.

I didn't know you had a tattoo! That's awesome!

And I love the space invaders neiman. Is it strange to see the pattern you worked on for forever changed so much?

Your tattoo guy got all that done in one session?! Pretty amazing. Now there's the bad sunburn feeling for about two weeks. Congrats on the great ink.

I love that gray cable sweater, thanks for pointing it out. And how cool is it that someone takes your design and does something so cool with it, it must feel good.

Sweater=Brilliant!

Very nice tattoo work - one sitting?! Good job (on both you and your artists' behalf. My last sitting had to be cut short due to my sensitive skin acting up in the humidity - I'm the process of a fairly large back piece. Sigh. )
