Are you going backwards

Or are you going forwards?

I quit my job the other day. Things were, um, unpleasant there. However, I'm going to continue baking bread (it's nice to leave the job but not the entire job category for a change), and will be starting at a new bakery within the month.

I think I know the feeling. I finished school a couple years ago and now am back in school getting another degree, not a higher level one. Just another. yeesh.

eeek. So sorry. Looking forward to the new job? More obscenely early hours? Beer at 10:30 in the morning?

hehe :)

I have no idea if I'm going backwards or forwards at the moment (I'm likely getting laid off in a couple months), but it sounds like you're moving forwards to leave an unpleasant job. Good luck with the new one!

I hope the new job works out for you. Sometimes life doesn't necessarily go forward or backward...maybe just sideways? I feel like I've recently taken some giant steps forward by leaving "difficult" things behind. Had to be done...just like for you.

I haven't ever commented before but I've been reading for a while! I just had to say I am right there with you, not knowing if I'm moving forward or backwards. I'll be quitting my job in the near future for similar reasons and there's a job in the works that just feels like... is this going to be any better, really? Good luck with all that happens, and I'll continue to read!!

I'm just going. I had a baby last fall and went back to work part time last month. Life's a gas.
