Isn't it time for some really GOOD photos?

I finished this one the other night... my latest design! It was inspired by and made on commission for a friend of mine from New Job. She loves my handknits so much she wanted one for herself; she gave me creative license, but we worked together from the sketch to the fitting phase. She's petite like I am, but shorter, so the sleeves will be full-length on her.

After taking a small-scale poll, it seems there is a lot of interest in the pattern. It's easy, but has some neat design tricks, too. I WILL be writing up the pattern, which will be available for purchase for $3 through Ravelry or right here on the blog. I like to do patterns for free, but the math involved in sizing things for a wide range, as well as some alternate options I'm going to add (thanks, hannabirke, for the more ease in the bust alternate suggestion), well, it feels a little like work. Just a little.

That is an awesome sweater. I'm adding it to my queue as soon as it's available (my embarassingly long queue).

Sa-weet sweater! I really love the sleeves 3/4 length, and it's such a cool shape. Definitely a good one!

Oooh...I really like this sweater! Please don't feel like you have to pseudo-apologize for charging money for a pattern. It's a lot of work to write one up, and I am more than happy to pay a few bucks for a nice pattern. After all, I have to pay for the yarn to knit it with, right?

That is beautiful! Thanks for offering it for sale! By the way I wouldn't feel guilty at all charging for this. Lots of people charge waaay more for patterns, so much to the point that I would rather go out and buy a completed sweater than have to buy the pattern and the yarn, etc.. I started knitting to SAVE money!
I will have to add it to my queue!! I also love your yoked sweater on knitty. You rock!

awesome sweater! You have great style and create fun garments. I am going to bookmark you and come back. I am writing a book about my art right now and have just started learning to knit. I keep telling myself that after the manuscript is done, I can really get into knitting. I am interested in your newest knitty pattern, for sure.

gorgeous! can't wait for the pattern. I already have some yarn in mind....

(You don't apologize for charging, you've spent way more than a few bucks of my time coming up something we'll all get a lot of joy out of. It's way worth it)

great job - on both this and the striped cardi -- must find more of your stuff!
