"The claimant is not subject to disqualification and is entitled to receive unemployment benefits."
IT CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY! I won.
But I didn't only win my retroactive Unemployment money, which, honestly, is not that much is the scheme of things. I won a new job, a new perspective on priorities, a greater sense of justice and fairness. I wish things had been easier, but there's something empowering about fighting something that is so clearly wrong straight-on and coming out the winner.
And for that I'd like to thank Former Employer, whose actions, though hurtful, indirectly brought me to a much happier place in life.

VICTOIRE! Hooray for JUSTICE!
Seriously, congratulations. Being about to hop on the unemployment train myself, it's definitely good to be reminded that these things can turn out to be opportunities. You rock! Congrats!
Congratulations! That's immense : )
So, so, so good! Another strike for justice AND making lemonades out of lemons.
You go SUPERGIRL!
Congrats to you, not just for the win but for sticking it out and for every darn deserving thing you've gained as a result. Knit on.
Congratulations!!
You've earned your "win" (even if you hadn't won!) and all the things that have fallen into place since leaving that employer.
It's all a testament of your abilities.
Congratulations! You deserve it!
Congrats! I so hoped for you that they get what they deserved (and you, too) :)
great baby, now we have a summer of goodosity
I am so so happy for you!!! I've been lurking on your blog and following this saga; hoping it would go in your favor. Glad to see that fairness and good wins out at times!
Mazel tov! Success is the best revenge, indeed. :)
Right on!
I guess that says it all.
Sounds like The Win was really just frosting on the cake (which, as we all know, is particularly Sweet!). By digging deep to deal with things, you'd already found peace and happiness. Now you get to add a layer of justice, too. Frosting!
WOO-HOO! Congratulations! Verification in this way must feel very good - especially after the long, drawn out wait. So glad you're in a better place now and I'm waiting for all your new fabulous designs.
