Lace x2

Behold! A blocked and worn shot of the Emily Dickinson Shawl! I knew it would look good with army surplus/Dickies hoodie.

Seriously, how can one wear a cobweb laceweight shawlette on a regular basis, other than eclectically? Here's the inevitable, traditional, knitterly, flat "show off my skilz" view:

On the far less complicated end of the lace knitting scale, I have reworked the pattern for Reptilian, my very first published pattern (summer 2007, I believe), after reknitting it in Habu soft wool 2/7 with black beads left over from Emily Dickinson.

It's knit on size 11 needles in any yarn you like and took me 2 days of not very intense knitting. You can download the updated pattern for free... download now!

haha. mad skilz. fo sho.

And it's so true - unless you're willing to go the full nine yards and sport a victorian-style dress with corset, you have to have to pull together an eclectic outfit for the lace. (which is just fantastic, by the way!)

I agree, totally mad skills (lacetard speaking)! It works perfectly as a lacy kerchief.

Impressed by shawl - It may inspire me to give it a try. Thinking with a denim jacket.
